John Gay
John Gay first appeared at the theatre as Bishop of Ely/Sir Thomas of Erpingham/Jamy in Henry V, directed by David Williams in 1964. In the same season, he appeared as Haberdasher in The Taming of the Shrew, directed by Vladek Sheybal. He returned for many seasons with notable roles including: Friar John in Romeo and Juliet (1971) and Old Capulet/Friar John in Romeo and Juliet (1986).
