Matthew Dunster
Matthew Dunster is an English theatre director, playwright and actor. In 2012 Matthew directed perhaps one of the most avant-garde versions of A Midsummer Night's Dream that the theatre had ever staged. Set in a trailer park-cum-building site, this was a modern 'Big Fat Gypsy Wedding' themed production. Returning in 2015, Dunster directed a new adaptation by Torben Betts of Chekhov's first masterpice, The Seagull with Janie Dee taking the lead as Irina Arkadina. In 2017 Dunster adapted Dickens' epic novel, A Tale of Two Cities, which was directed by Timothy Sheader.
