The 1994 revival of The Card was directed by then Artistic Director Ian Talbot, and starred Peter Duncan, Jessica Martin, Hayley Mills, and Jenna Russell. This version was extensively re-worked by the original authors with lyricist Anthony Drew. Amendments were made to the libretto, existing songs were re-written and others dropped and new ones introduced. The production was nominated for both Best Musical Revival and Best Actor in a Musical, for Peter Duncan, at the 1995 Olivier Awards.
