The Admirable Bashville was a play version of the novel by George Bernard Shaw, directed by David William. It featured Peter Woodward as Cashel Byron, Douglas Hodge as Bashville and Emily Richards as Lydia. In 1983, the production would go on to be adapted into the Open Air Theatre’s first original musical.
