All My Sons (2014)
15 May – 7 June
By Arthur Miller
In 2014, our artistic director Timothy Sheader directed All My Sons , which was said to be the play which established Arthur Miller as one of the greatest playwrights of the 20th Century. Taking place over one idyllic summer's day, All My Sons was praised for 'its dramatic intensity only heightened by the amphitheatrical feel of the setting' (Sunday Times). Notable performances included the 'superb' Brid Brennan, whose 'performance makes you shiver more than the night air' (Independent), and Amy Nuttall who gives a 'show-stealing performance' (WhatsOnStage).

Reviews
Sunday Times
“The plot unfolds with a gripping relentlessness, one electrifying scene after another, and performances to match.” “One of Arthur Miller’s masterpieces, its dramatic intensity (is) only heightened by the amphitheatrical feel of the setting.”
WhatsOnStage
"A thrilling revival of a stirring play that should be on anyone's to do list this summer. Tom Mannion - utterly believable as Joe – helms a strong cast including a show-stealing performance from Amy Nuttall."
Independent
"As darkness falls in the Park and the Ibsenite chickens come home to roost, the intensity builds to a properly shattering climax. The superb Brid Brennan haunts and terrifies…her performance makes you shiver more than the night air"
Telegraph
"It effectively exposes Miller’s bitter theme of man’s ability to betray his fellow in a crisis, the indifferent sky above, looking down on both us and the stage, exacerbating our sense of the universality of this truth."
