John Laurie

Scottish actor John Laurie is perhaps best remembered for his role as Pte James Frazer in TV sitcom Dad's Army. He enjoyed a prolific career across stage and screen. Between 1922 and 1939 in particular, Laurie performed mostly Shakespearean work and was in the first ever production at the Open Air Theatre in 1932, where he played Orsino in Twelfth Night
