Janis Kelly has had a long association with English National Opera. She first appeared at the Park in 2018, for the Open Air Theatre's first collaboration with the ENO on The Turn of the Screw, directed by Timothy Sheader and conducted by Toby Purser. Playing the role of Mrs Grose, she was then in the unique position of having played all the female roles in The Turn of the Screw (The Governess, Bath and Wessex Opera, 1993; Miss Jessel, Grange Park Opera, 2002; Flora, ENO, 1980).
